MISSION STATEMENT
The Town Manager’s Office is committed to providing quality service in a supportive and creative environment.

DESCRIPTION
The Town Manager is appointed by the Town Council to oversee the daily operations of the Town of Amherst, advise and administer the policies and procedures of the Town Council, and enforce Town ordinances adopted and actions passed by Town Council.  The Town Manager is responsible for the management of all Town departments and all Town funds, working with the Finance Office to coordinate the budget development process that includes revenue and expenditure projections for the upcoming fiscal year, and reviewing policies and programs in an effort to provide improved services to the community.

GOALS
Promote the fact that the Town of Amherst is a good place to live and visit.  Identify, develop and support various initiatives and efforts that will make new and existing businesses feel welcome.

On behalf of our Council, citizens, and staff, welcome to the Town of Amherst. Whether you come here to live, work, or visit, we would like your stay to be as pleasant as possible. Come and visit our merchants downtown for unique gifts, have a wonderful meal or a drink at one of our restaurants or the local brewery, take a ride on our bike lanes, or just come and visit to see what we have to offer. Our employees work every day to provide a safe, clean, friendly, and beautiful town.
